Contributor Documents

A contributor document typically provides details about a person that acts as an actor, director etc. in one or more programs. However, a contributor doesn’t have to be a person: for example, it could be a sports team or an animal.

Primary Objects

The following table provides a summary of the primary objects within a API contributor document. The object name column includes links to other pages describing individual objects in more detail. For a full list of the properties that may be provided please see the schema file contributor_schema.json.

Object name	Data provided by object
contributorNames	The first/last/full name of the contributor.
images	Various images of the contributor, including HTTP URLs from which those images can be downloaded
textItems	A short biography of the contributor
relatedMaterial	HTTP links to external web pages about the contributor, e.g. IMDB
personAwards	Awards won by the contributor, e.g. Oscars, BAFTAs
